Mary has been my wife since the bicentennial of America, 1976, and we have three grown kids: John, Emily, and Joel. (All three great adults now!)

Where did you go to school

Fort Smith, Arkansas, in my high school days. I have a BA degree from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. I studied at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. While there I also served as a grader for Dr. Jay (Boo) Heflin in the Old Testament Department.

Spaghetti! (Mary’s of course!)

When did you become a Christian

I was saved when I was nine years old at First Baptist Church in Sperry, Oklahoma.

When did God call you into ministry

I publicly surrendered to ministry when I was 16 years old.

What is your favorite part of your job

I think the favorite part of my job is seeking God’s vision for our church… for the future.
