Several ballot measures passed around the country that had received a lot of attention leading up to the midterm election.

In California, the cost of eggs is bound to go up as a ballot measure passed that requires chickens that produce eggs to be cage-free.

Also in California, voters rejected a measure on rent control, leading many to believe the already sky-high rent costs in the state will continue to go up.

In North Carolina, they approved requiring ID to vote.

Voters in Missouri legalized medical marijuana. And here in Arizona, Proposition 127 crashed and burned as over 70 percent of voters rejected the renewable energy mandate.

Similar measures in Colorado and Washington State also failed.
