Republican Sens. Ted Cruz and Bill Cassidy introduced a resolution last week that would label Antifa a “domestic terrorist organization.”

Breitbart reports the resolution calls out Antifa for opposing political ideologies through violence.

It further calls out members of the group after they physically assaulted journalists and other individuals during protests and riots,” including the attack on journalist Andy Ngo by protesters affiliated with Antifa.

Cruz wrote on Twitter Thursday that the group is a “terrorist organization composed of hateful, intolerant radicals who pursue their extreme agenda through aggressive violence.”
