Oklahoma’s Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt signed legislation Wednesday to abolish his state’s concealed carry permit requirement.

Breitbart reports the legislation comes after lawmakers tried to abolish the requirement under former Gov. Mary Fallin, but she vetoed their legislation.

Oklahoma now joins 14 other states, including Arizona, to declare the Second Amendment as an individual’s carry permit.

The move comes as a second bill on expanded gun background checks is headed to the Senate after passage by the Democratic-led House.

It is unlikely to succeed in the Republican-led Senate.
