MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who has been one of the most prominent voices to push the Trump-Russia collusion story, rapidly lost half-a-million viewers after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report indicated that there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The Daily Caller reports Maddow, who has spent most of her time over the past two years hyping the collusion allegations against Trump, struggled to hold back tears as she delivered her opening monologue last Friday, clearly stunned that Mueller did not bring any indictments against the president or his family.

According to The Daily Beast, Maddow’s show dropped over 500,000 viewers in just one week after the Mueller report was released to the Attorney General.
