Missouri is making big strides toward upholding individual rights and the Second Amendment in anticipation of stifling federal gun control legislation.

The Sentinel reports Missouri’s state senate is expected to pass a bill that would nullify all federal gun laws and regulations, and make enforcement of those laws by federal officers within the State of Missouri a criminal offense.

Republicans who control both U.S. Senate seats, as well both the Missouri House and Senate are expected to pass the legislation and hope the Republican governor will sign it.

A former version of the bill was also passed, but vetoed by then Democratic Governor Jay Nixon.
